Library reading programs offered in summer



n "Creature Feature" is the theme for the Summer Reading Program for teens at the Douglas County Public Library. Sign-ups start Saturday and the program continues through Aug. 19. Complete a registration form at the library and start reading. Fill out a book review for every time you read 100 pages. Win prizes from Ironwood Stadium Cinema 8, Danny's Ironwood Grill, Subway, Silver Strike Lanes and more. The grand prize is a bike.


All participants will receive a Round Table Pizza gift certificate, free book and free pass to the Carson Valley Swim Center. The Minden library is offering stories and crafts June 20; July 11, 18, 25; and Aug. 1, 8, and 15. Children 3 and older are invited.
