Anne Armijo is the featured artist at the Nevada Artists Association Gallery at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.
Armijo is a resident of Minden and grew up on a cattle ranch in Colorado, where she picked up her fascination with nature.
She often combines mixed media in her paintings, using beads, glitter and fabric to depict the subtle images of light and shadow. She includes fanciful hidden images and icons in her work and often leaves some part of a puzzle unfinished or some question unanswered for the viewer to resolve.
Armijo is also a member of the Carson Valley Art Association and the Sierra Arts Foundation. Her paintings will be on exhibit through Feb. 3.
The Nevada Artists Association Gallery is located at 449 W. King Street in Carson City and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about this show and future exhibits call 882-6411
