Senior center honors 90-plus year olds

The Douglas County Senior Center will have its annual 90-plus Birthday Celebration today. This is the time that the center honors all those 90 years and older, plus those turning 90 in the year 2006. The party starts at 10:30 a.m. Pictures will be taken, cake and ice cream will top the meal. One wall of the dining room is covered with stars that have the name of a senior who reached 90. Those who passed away still have their star displayed on the wall as a way of remembering they reached this wonderful milestone in life.
