At least 90 candles on this birthday cake

Bob Cook presents Bernadine Sandkuhle with a 90-plus birthday certificate and flower at the 90-plus birthday party at the Douglas County Senior Center on Wednesday. More than 150 people were on hand to help celebrate with the 35 seniors who became members of the 90-Plus Birthday Club. Fred Gallanty accepts his 90-plus birthday certificate and a flower from assistant county manager Steve Mokrohisky at the annual party at the senior center. The event began in 1997 when there were 16 founding members of the 90-plus club.
