Mary Frances Crawford, 78, a Carson City resident since 1958, died Dec. 22, 1999 at her residence.

Mrs. Crawford was born May 8, 1921 in Monticello, Minn., to George Buckmaster and Emma Wildman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edmond Crawford in 1975; son, Robert Crawford on Dec. 26, 1997; brother, Robert Buckmaster on Oct. 6, 1996, and an aunt, Nettie Bianchi in September 1996.

Prior to living in Carson City she resided in Ely.

Mrs. Crawford attended grammar school in Ruth and graduated from White Pine County High School in Ely.

She worked at various occupations throughout her lifetime, including 17 years at the Ormsby House in Carson City before retiring.

Among her survivors are her son, Paul Crawford of Carson City; step-brother, Milton Messick of Oxnard, Calif.; sister, Marjorie Adams of Sun Valley, Calif., two grandchildren and one aunt.

Cremation is under the direction of Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.

Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
