Douglas High's Jaxon Nixon looks for a pin at 175 pounds during the first day fo the Class 5A regional wrestling tournament. Nixon is alive in the consolation semifinals with a chance to finish as high as third in his weight class.
Both Carson High and Douglas High School wrestling have several athletes still competing for a shot at qualifying for the state tournament. Two will also have a shot at a regional title.
