The annual Best of Carson Valley awards open for nominations Wednesday.
Much like a primary election, nominations are an important process in being selected the Best of Carson Valley.
Nominations will be accepted between June 25 and July 13 at bestofcarsonvalley.com.
To nominate, go to bestofcarsonvalley.com and write in your favorites in the various categories.
People can nominate more than one business but can only nominate in each category once per day. You can nominate daily.
A nomination doesn’t guarantee a business will make it through to final voting.
We will only be taking the top nominated people and businesses into the voting finals — so nominations are as important as final voting. Think of it as a primary election.
Once the nominations are tallied, there is about a three-week window to vote for the finalists. Voting will take place from July 30 through Aug. 17.
This year’s contest features five new categories:
• Best Men’s Grooming
• Best Butcher Shop
• Best Caterer
