“I am thrilled to welcome Peace as Douglas County’s new Chief Technology Officer,” said County Manager Jenifer Davidson. “His expertise and enthusiasm will be crucial in guiding our organization’s mission and the future of Technology Services,”.

Prior to coming to Douglas County, Ruggia worked as an IT Director in Honolulu for five years and an IT Manager in the state of Washington for a year. Most recently he served as the IT Director for international freight company Total Logistics Resources.

“I am excited to be a part of Douglas County and the community. I look forward to being a part of a culture that provides exceptional customer service,” Ruggia said. “I believe technology should be accessible and user-friendly for everyone; whether you are a county employee or a resident, I am dedicated to making the digital experience smooth and efficient.”

The Technology Services Department serves as the county's primary resource for technology guidance and is responsible for the planning, development, coordination, and support of the county's use of information technologies and enterprise data systems.
