The Wolf Pack has officially returned to the highest level of college basketball.

Nevada was ranked in the sport’s two major national polls on Monday, coming in at No. 22 in the USA Today coaches poll and No. 23 in the Associated Press Top 25.

The Pack’s most recent ranking came at the end of the 2019 season, following a first-round NCAA Tournament loss to Florida. Nevada (29-6) was No. 20 in the final AP poll of that season.

This season’s Nevada team is 26-6 entering the Mountain West Tournament in Las Vegas. The Pack has won 10 of its last 11 games, including two last week (over Boise State and UNLV).

The MW’s Utah State (No. 18) was also ranked in Monday’s poll. Boise State, San Diego State, New Mexico and Colorado State all received votes, but did not total enough points to crack the first 25 teams.

Nevada will play either Colorado State or San Jose State in Thursday’s Mountain West quarterfinals at the Thomas & Mack Center.
