Senator boys get one all-region nod

For the second season in a row, Douglas High’s Caden Thacker has been named as a first team all-region selection.

Thacker, a junior, averaged 12.1 points per game this winter while dishing out 88 assists, the third most in the region. He also pulled down 71 rebounds and swiped 45 steals on the season.

Earning second team honors for the Tigers was outgoing senior Jett Lehmann.

Lehmann was the Tigers’ leading scorer this winter, posting 12.7 points per contest.

Lehmann’s 69 steals were second most in the region while also grabbing 111 rebounds and blocking 16 shots.

Two more Douglas players were awarded honorable mention all-region nods for their performance this season.

Senior Jeremiah Pitts was named an honorable mention after leading the team in triples with 67 makes from beyond-the-arc. He averaged 8.5 points per contest this season.

Rounding out Douglas’ selections was senior Kyle Koontz.

Koontz led the Tigers in rebounds with 156 while also blocking 19 shots on the interior.

Carson High boys basketball had one member of its squad earn all-region honors in Mouhamed Fall, who was an honorable mention selection.

Fall, a senior, averaged 8.7 points per game in the 22 games with statistics on MaxPreps.

Fall was second on the team in rebounds, averaging four boards per game while also passing 1.7 assists per contest.
