Genoa, Nev. — Gardnerville Town Board members are scheduled to tackle changes to the 1,020-home Virginia Ranch subdivision 4:30 p.m. today. It will be the first time the board has had a chance to weigh in on the project in the 19 years since it was approved.

Al Browne was elected chairman of the Airport Advisory Committee on Monday night. Member Keith Richter volunteered to represent the committee on a panel reviewing proposals for airport management with alternate Deborah Rothchild. The proposal review process is confidential, according to County Manager Patrick Cates.

The NHP is reporting nine crashes on the freeways since 6 a.m. today. I expect there will be more as the morning progresses.

The scattered snow showers are expected to pass by this morning leaving partly sunny skies and a high temperature of 37 degrees. The wind will be out of the southeast gusting to 20 mph.
