Two women accused in multiple drug sales


Two women are in custody after search warrants were served by drug enforcement officers early Wednesday morning on two homes in Carson Valley.

Arrested in the early morning raids were Carrie Sue Rhodehouse, 51, and Janie Michelle Phillips, 35, along with Jason Dennis MeGee, 52, and Luke Reeves, 43.

The two women were involved in separate months-long investigations into illegal sale of methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms, along with child abuse charges.

Rhodehouse was arrested at her home at 735 Lassen Way in the Gardnerville Ranchos early on Wednesday where investigators reported seizing items related to sale and possession of controlled substances.

She is being held pending charges of sales of a controlled substance, allowing a child to be present during the commission of a controlled substance violation, counts of child abuse, possession and maintaining a place for unlawful use of a controlled substance. Her bail was set at $125,003 pending a hearing.

Jason MeGee, 52, was arrested at the Lassen Way home for failing to register as an ex-felon, possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. His bail was $6,283. A 3-year-old child in the home was released to Child Protective Services.

Phillips and Reeves were arrested during the service of a warrant at 1330 Stodick Parkway Apartments No. D-12, where investigators seized methamphetamine and mushrooms, along with items related to drug sales. A 6- and 7-year-old were in the home and released to Child Protective Services.

Phillips faces multiple counts of child abuse, sales of a controlled substance and selling drugs while the children were presence. She also faces a charge for maintaining a place for unlawful drug use.

Reeves was booked on charges of possession of drugs and paraphernalia.
