Genoa, Nev. — County Manager Jenifer Davidson is scheduled to talk about the update to the Douglas County Strategic Plan 10 a.m. today at the Douglas County Public Library Board of Trustees meeting. Expect to see presentations to a variety of boards and groups as part of the outreach.

A policy to use the Minden branch’s 3-D printer goes to trustees this morning. Patrons with a library card can email or bring in a stereo lithography 3D print file, fill out a form, and staff will review and print items. Trustees meet at the Library, 1625 Library Lane.

It looks like it will be a nice afternoon to visit the Esmeralda Farmer’s Market in downtown Minden. The market is 4-8 p.m. and features live music, in addition to food and fresh produce.

Western Nevada appears unscathed in the first red flag warning of 2023. Forecasters canceled the warning at 8:15 p.m. as wind speeds dropped below the threshold. We could see another fire weather watch on Wednesday.

It looks like Minden-Tahoe Airport had the peak wind gust of 29 mph a couple of times on Monday. I made my way around the Valley 4-5 p.m. and it wasn’t particularly blustery.

We finally had a morning where the temperature wasn’t in the 70s out at sun-up. Expect sunny skies and a high temperature of 94 degrees today with the west wind 15-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph.
