Public Hearing 

A meeting of the Douglas County Vacation Home Rental (VHR) Advisory Board will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kahle Community Center, Rubicon Room, 236 Kingsbury Grade, Stateline, NV 89449. 

Agenda items may be taken out of order, may be combined for consideration, or may be removed from the agenda at any time. All items designated “for possible action” may include discussion by the Vacation Home Rental (VHR) Advisory Board and they may take action to approve, modify, deny, take “no action,” or continue the item.

For Possible Action: Discussion on an appeal filed by Zachary and Callie Shields, owners of 324 Kingsbury Grade, Stateline, NV 89449 (APN #1318-26-510-010), contesting the denial of an invite to apply for a Tier 2 VHR permit due to past non-compliance and the revocation of their Tier 1 VHR permit at 324 Kingsbury Grade. For Possible Action: Discussion on an appeal filed by Matthew Kvancz to contest a $20,000.00 fine, relative to a Notice of Violation, Code Enforcement Case Number 23-000075, issued for advertising and/or operating an unpermitted vacation home rental at 1262 Lincoln Circle, Zephyr Cove, NV 89448 (APN #1418-34-1120002). (Ernie Strehlow) 

For Possible Action: Discussion on a Special Use Permit application to obtain a Tier 3 Vacation Home Rental Permit. The subject application is for a 6-bedroom, 12-person occupancy, located at 436 Barrett Drive, Stateline, NV 89449 (APN #1319-18- 410-011). The owner is Vincent Ulfig, who currently has a Douglas County Issued permit, No. 08401734. (Ernie Strehlow) 

The public will only be able to participate in the meeting by appearing in person. A non-participatory livestream broadcast of the meeting will be available via YouTube for the public’s convenience.
