On 4/6/2023, the Douglas County Board og Commissioners INTRODUCED the following ordinance: 

ORDINANCE: 2023-1615 

TITLE: Ordinance 2023-1615, adopting an Amendment to the Virginia Ranch Specific Plan (DA04-155), within the Gardnerville Community Plan. The amendment includes, removing reference to the 10.5-acre School Site, with Public Facility (PF) zoning without increasing the total approved 1,020-unit count, removing language stating, “parcels less than 60’ wide must be rear loaded,” and adding a private street section. (Development Application DP 22-0226.) 

SUMMARY: Ordinance Number 2023- 1615, an ordinance for an Amendment to the Virginia Ranch Specific Plan (VRSP), reference Development Application (DA) 04- 155, to remove the reference to the10.5-acre School Site with Public Facility (PF) zoning, without increasing the total approved 1,020- unit count. Additionally, removing language stating, “parcels less than 60’ wide must be rear loaded” and adding a private street section. The subject parcels combined are approximately 206 acres and are located east of Highway 395 and south of Toler Lane in the Gardnerville Community Plan. The affected parcel numbers within the amendment to the Virginia Ranch 

Specific Plan are APN’s 1220-03-000-034 & 1220-03-000-043. 

The 2nd Reading of this Ordinance will be held on 5/4/2023. A copy of this ordinance is on file in the Clerk’s Office for public review.
