A 43-year-old male climber was killed on Friday after he fell 75 feet from a rock wall in Woodfords Canyon.
Alpine County Sheriff’s Office responded around 2:45 p.m. to the a report of a climbing accident.
James Allen Brown, of Reno, was identified as the deceased.
"On behalf of the Sheriff’s Office and Alpine County, we extend our deepest condolences to the family," officials said.
No other persons were injured in the incident.
