Douglas County is asking residents to participate in an evacuation survey, https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sv/FSoZRwS to gather information to help the county gauge the level of knowledge community members have about evacuation warnings and procedures. The survey is currently open will be available through Sept. 10.

All residents and businesses within the communities in Douglas County are encouraged to participate.

Given the recent Tamarack Fire in Douglas and Alpine Counties, a survey is being conducted to identify local evacuation behavior during emergency situations.

The information gathered in this survey will be shared with Douglas County Emergency Management, Public Information, and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The information you provide will directly support the development of strategies and actions to improve evacuations notices and clarification in times of an emergency.

Links to take the survey are posted on the Douglas County website and on Douglas County Social Media pages.

Paper copies of the survey are also available at the Minden Library, the Community and Senior Center in Gardnerville, and the Kahle Community Center in Stateline.
