Members of the Library Board of Trustees met on Wednesday to determine who they would interview in person next week.

Only one of the two candidates expected at in-person 9 a.m. interviews on Wednesday will be able to make it to Minden.

“One of the candidates is unable to attend the in-person Library Director interview next week,” Interim Director Christine Vido said on Friday.  “Debra Greenacre’s name was removed from the agenda prior to the agenda being posted.”

Greenacre was one of two candidates the Library Board of Trustees were hoping to interview on Wednesday morning.

Library trustees voted to interview candidates Tim DeGhelder and Debra Greenacre.

Trustees conducted interviews on May 4.

Greenacre had a scheduling conflict and may still he up for the position. Trustees rejected the idea of another Zoom call but were concerned about the possibility that one of the candidates might drop out of the running, which happened during the last search.

Last fall, one of the two final candidates dropped out of the running, leaving the trustees with only one option, and they decided to start over.
