Battle Born FC sends academy teams to prestigious San Diego tourney

 Two locally based youth soccer teams went down to San Diego over the past weekend to play in the 2022 Manchester City Cup alongside some of the best talent on the west coast. The tournament averages nearly 500,000 visitors to San Diego per year and claims host to 1,500 college coaches and scouts.
“Overall this type of tournament was an amazing experience, getting to play against some of the best players/teams in the nation,” said 05/06 captain, Zoe Baligad. “So excited to see my team grow from this experience, and I am happy to score two amazing goals. l am looking forward to next year.”
Both teams played three games against stiff competition over the weekend.
