Smoke from fires burning near Sequoia National Park is wafting northward into Western Nevada.

While air quality remains mostly in the good range in Carson Valley, airnow.gov is showing a smoke plume slipping over the Sierra.

The Valley’s inversion layer has kept most of the smoke from dropping into the Valley, but higher elevations along the way such as Bridgeport are showing moderate conditions.

The National Weather Service forecasters in Reno are anticipating hazy conditions tonight into Wednesday morning.
