Water Conveyance Advisory Committee 

Public Hearing 

A meeting of the Water Conveyance Advisory Committee will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 4:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Minden Inn, at 1594 Esmeralda Avenue, Room 306, Minden, NV and on Zoom®. The Water Conveyance Advisory Committee reserves the right to: take items in a different order; combine two or more agenda items for consideration; remove items from the agenda; and/or delay discussions relating to an item on the agenda at any time. Douglas County is actively monitoring and managing the COVID-19 level of risk in our community by implementing procedures to minimize contact among individuals and to slow the spread of COVID-19. In adherence with Governor Sisolak’s Declaration of Emergency and Directive 047, participants that attend the meeting in person will be required to wear a mask or face covering.

For possible action. Discussion on irrigation facilities which may be impacted by a request from Douglas County Public Works Department to remove and replace an existing culvert on the Winkleman Ditch where the ditch crosses Kimmerling Road. No single address or parcel number is associated with this project, which is located just east of the intersection of Kimmerling Road and Cordes Lane. The work includes replacement of an existing 38”x57” corrugated metal arch pipe with a new 38”x60” RCP and headwalls. Riprap protection on the downstream end of the culvert is proposed.
