The application requests a total revenue increase of $35.692 million, or 30.9%, over currently authorized revenues. If the CPUC approves this application, Liberty will recover forecasted costs in electric rates over a three-year period beginning January 1, 2022. This will impact your monthly bill. Why is Liberty requesting this rate increase?Liberty requests revenue increase for the following reasons:To continue to invest in and maintain the system of the distribution plant, poles, wires, pipes, and equipment needed to deliver electricity to Liberty’s customers; To perform wildfire mitigation work and increased vegetation management to address the extreme risk of wildfires in Liberty’s service territory; andTo maintain the support structure necessary to keep Liberty operating and to provide its customers with safe, reliable, and responsive customer service. How could this affect my monthly electric rates? If Liberty’s rate request is approved by the CPUC, the average residential winter monthly bill using 714 kWh would increase by approximately $48 or 41% per month beginning in 2022, and the average residential summer monthly bill using 527 kWh would increase by approximately $37 or 42% per month. Liberty is in the process of revising its rate design, which it will submit to the CPUC during the proceeding and will potentially change the rate impacts.

The proposed decision, and any alternate decisions, will be discussed and voted upon by the CPUC Commissioners at a public CPUC Voting Meeting. Parties to the proceeding are currently reviewing Liberty’s application, including the Public Advocates Office, which is an independent consumer advocate within the CPUC that represents customers to obtain the lowest possible rate for service consistent with reliable and safe service levels. For more information about the Public Advocates Office, please call 1-415-703-1584, email PublicAdvocatesOffice@cpuc.ca.gov, or visit PublicAdvocates.cpuc.ca.gov. Where can I get more information? Contact LibertyPhone: (800)782-2506Email: Dan.Marsh@libertyutilities.comMail: 933 Eloise Avenue, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150A copy of the Application and any related documents may also be reviewed at www.libertyutilities.comContact CPUCPlease visit apps.cpuc.ca.gov/c/A2105017 to submit a comment about this proceeding on the CPUC Docket Card.
