Winners of the July Photo Club contest were Steven Davis who took first and second place with his photos of birds and Nancy Hulsey who took third with her wild horse photo.
About 20 members of the Carson Valley Photo Club gathered July 13 at Sierra Chef in Genoa for chicken Florentine, Caesar salad and French bread in the first in-person event since the coronavirus lockdown.
“It has been over a year since we have been able to be together, up close, and physical,” spokeswoman Nancy Hulsey said. “We have greatly missed the contact.”
The club’s July meeting was July 12 where they conducted their photo contest via Zoom.
The Zoom photo contest resulted in 30 photos being submitted and was judged by Suzie Zimmerli.
Steven Davis won first and second place with his “Morning Flight” and “Grace on Wings.” Hulsey won third place with her photo called “The Bite.”
“We are trying to work out having physical meetings again at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church in Gardnerville,” Hulsey said. “Please check our Facebook page for further announcements.”
