Boat ramps on the Nevada side at Lake Tahoe will open for the summer on Saturday, May 1.
Jennifer Ramella said Sand Harbor will be open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Cave Rock ramp will be open 6 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily.
She said ramp hours will be extended at both those parks to 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. beginning May 28 and will maintain those hours until they close for the season or because of low water levels.
Boaters must complete watercraft inspections with the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency before arriving at the ramps. For information on inspection locations visit tahoeboatinspections.com.
