Born Mary JoAnn Zuidmulder on May 3, 1935 to William and Kathleen Zuidmulder, JoAnn graduated from Geen Bay East High School in 1953.
She married William Halbrook of Crivitz in 1956. Together they had three children.
After her divorce, JoAnn attended Floral Design School in Chicago. She opened JoAnn’s University Floral. She was a highly sought after floral designer and teacher. She taught at Community Colleges and Universities both in Green Bay and Arizona.
JoAnn passed away peacefully at Highland Village in Fallon, Nevada on September 4, 2018.
She is survived by her daughters, Holly (Mike) Rueden of Seymore, WI, Tami Schmitz of Fallon, NV; and son William (Judy) Halbrook of DePere, WI; seven grandchildren; and two great granddaughters.
A small Celebration of Life will be held at St. Patrick’s Church Hall, 850 W. 4th St in Fallon on Saturday, September 29th at 11 am followed by a luncheon.
