Al was born in Gothenburg, Nebraska on April 27, 1939 to Albert and Areta Larson. He passed away surrounded by family in Carson City on May 30, 2017.
Al graduated from Reno High in 1957. Al owned and operated Al’s Barber Shop for over 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and traveling.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and Step-father Bill Payne.
He is survived by his wife Sue; sons, Donald Allen (Lori) and Ronald Eugene (Maria); 5 grandchildren, Lacy, Kristin, Alex, Jaret and Ally; 4 great-granchildren; sister-in-law Salley Bennett; nieces, Mechele (Tom), Ray, Susan (Keith) Squires,; nephew Brian (Joy) Bennett; and his best friend Buttercup.
A graveside service will be held at Lone Mountain Cemetery on Wednesday June 7th, 2017 at 11:00 am
