Tom B. Ackerman

Tom B. Ackerman, 73, returned to his heavenly home on February 20, 2017 after a valiant battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Tom was born in Fallon, NV. He was the son of Ina Edwards and Bruce Ackerman. He served his country twenty-three years in the U.S.A.F. He worked as a manager at Rockwell for ten years. He retired from Wal-Mart after sixteen years.

Tom was blessed with a loving family. He married his best friend, Sandra J. Ackerman, on February 21, 1964 in Victorville, CA.

Tom was a friend and lover to his wife, a teacher to his children, and a joy to the grandchildren. Tom loved his gadgets and tinkering with little projects. He enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, and gold mining. On the lighter side, he loved to see people smile and laugh. He was merciful to those who needed mercy and a teacher to those who needed wisdom. He had a great impact on many. He is dearly missed by his loved ones who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Creator.

Tom is survived by his wife, Sandy; his sons Thom and Tim Ackerman; his grandchildren Lucas Ackerman, Joshua Ackerman, Bethia Ackerman, Noah Ackerman, Izabelle Ackerman and Olivia Ackerman; and his brother Bruce Ackerman and Sister Judy Wilson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 19th at 3:00p.m., with a reception to follow at Parkside Bible Fellowship 485 Tedford Ln, Fallon, NV. 89406.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The American Cancer Society.
