Carson High wrestlers in action Thursday

Carson High’s wrestling team returns to action Thursday and Friday at the annual Sierra Nevada Classic at the Reno Livestock & Events Center.

Action gets underway at 8:30 a.m.

The Senators’ last action was at the annual Reno TOC where they failed to place any wrestlers to the second day.

Carson coach Nick Redwine believes his team can get some wrestlers to the second day and some could even place.

“We should do well,” Redwine said. “I think we have a good chance to see some of our kids place. Kyle (Rudy) is working really hard in practice, and it should pay off this week.

“I don’t think the team placing (high) is in the cards, but we will see how it pans out. We are definitely looking forward to it.”
