Thanks to opponents of Question 2
Thank you to Nevada’s law enforcement and health professionals; drug prevention and treatment groups; the gaming industry; business and taxpayer associations; and major faith institutions for joining together in formal opposition to Question 2, the recreational marijuana legalization initiative.
Opponents of Question 2 were up against the formidable commercial marijuana industry that reported contributions of $4.3 million in Nevada for drafting, qualifying and promoting their initiative since 2014.
The Nevada Appeal was among six Nevada newspapers to oppose Question 2. The newspaper’s editorial position is hereby acknowledged and was greatly appreciated.
