Blue Jays pound Reno A’s

The Carson Blue Jays scored 16 fourth-inning runs to break a 4-all tie and beat the Reno A’s, 20-5, Tuesday night at Ron McNutt Field.

The Blue Jays had just seven hits, but the locals took advantage of 16 walks and three errors to make it a blowout.

Kahle Good hit two doubles and a single good for five RBI. No other Blue Jay player had more than one hit. Abel Carter drove in two runs.

Colby Zemp, Ben Nelson and Trevor Edis combined their efforts on the mound. Nelson fanned four in two innings of work to pick up the victory.
