Nevada Artists Association announces winners of Spirit of America art show in Carson City

The Nevada Artists Association is exhibiting its Spirit of America art show in its gallery at the Brewery Arts Center. The judged exhibit open to all regional artists runs through July 30. Awards were given in seven media categories for first, second and third places and honorable mention. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday. All art is for sale and admission is free. The NAA’s gallery is at 449 W. King St.

‘Based in Carson,’ an oil painting by Louise Kerr, won the Spirit of America Award. Other winners include: ‘Morning Mist,’ a watercolor by Terry Sweeny, which won Best of Show; ‘A Galaxy Far, Far Away’ by Pam Brekas won first place in acrylics; and ‘The Magician’ by Paula Kimbrough won the Others Award.
