Darlene Betts of Silver Springs, NV, born on January 27, 1948, went on to heaven while her children were by her side on January 24, 2015. She devoted her life as a mother of 10 children, grandmother of 18 grandchildren, and guardian of generations of students across Lyon County. Darlene will always be known as a generous, caring, and selfless servant to the community. For over 25 years, she worked for Silver Springs Elementary School. She spent countless hours on extra projects for children in need of additional love and care. In her final days, all she wanted to do was return to work. The educational environment was her passion. Her celebration of life will be held at Silver Stage Elementary School at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28.
