Claude Sparhawk Owen

Claude Sparhawk Owen passed away December 28, 2015 in Reno. He was born August 28, 1930 in Newton, MA to Albert and Alice Sparhawk Owen. He had worked as a deputy sheriff in Riverside, CA and as a Security Executive for Exxon. He was a United States Marine veteran and a Lt. Col. in the US Army. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at 1PM at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Owen of Fallon; daughter Claudia Owen and son Michael Owen both of Fernley; son Jeffrey Owen of Reno; sisters Patti Boring of Thousand Oaks, CA; Carole Martin of Minden, NV, and grandson Timothy Owen of San Diego, CA. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Fallon, 775-423-2255.
