Update: At 4:55 p.m. the man was safely taken into protective custody.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is currently responding to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Stateline for a reported suicidal male.
At this time the male is on the eighth floor ledge threatening to jump.
Members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Crisis Negotiation Team are currently arriving on scene to assist patrol members trying to talk the male off the ledge.
Additional resources, such as the Tahoe-Douglas Fire Department and CalStar are standing-by.
No roads have been closed at this time however; DCSO is asking the public to stay away from the scene.
