Roger Otis Smith

Roger Otis Smith, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, 82 of Carson City passed away on August 29, 2014. Roger was born on April 15, 1932 in Dewitt, MI to the late Helen and Lyle Smith. He was the second of four sons. Roger served in the USAF as a gunner for the 63rd Bomb Squadron, 43rd Bomb Wing. He was an engineer for the Metal Bellows in Moorpark Ca. He retired in Carson City where he served the community as a volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol, Douglas County Sheriff’s Department and the VA. Blessed are we to have the memories of a man who lived his life honest and true. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
