Wanda Marie Ellis

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away into God’s loving hands on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Her amazing sense of humor and German flare always made her fun to be around. She had a very colorful work history from being an LVN at County General and St. Joseph’s in Southern California where she worked with babies in the nursery to waitressing at the Palomino Club where she met some of the day’s top country talent. She always had amazing stories to tell us and we will truly miss her and her larger than life personality. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Ellis, her son, Denny Harmuth, her parents, August and Elisabeth Hof and her grandsons, Wesley Harmuth and Michael Ellis, Jr. She is survived by four sons: Chris (Brenda) Harmuth of Waldorf, MD, Steve (Patricia) Harmuth of Wichita, KS, Michael (Brenda) Ellis of Dayton, NV and Phil (Toni) Ellis of Simi Valley, CA. She is also survived by many grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A viewing will be held at FitzHenry’s Funeral Home, 3945 Fairview Drive Carson City, NV 89701, on Friday, June 27th from 4-7pm. A service will also be held at FitzHenry’s Funeral Home on Saturday, June 28th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or the American Diabetes Association in her honor.
