Barbara E. Sullivan

Barbara E. Sullivan, 92, of Carson City, passed away peacefully Monday, March 31 in Reno, NV. She was born in Rapid City, SD on October 13, 1921 to the late Lee and Emily Dennis. Barbara graduated from Yuma High School and attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Married to the late Thomas P. Sullivan in 1947, they lived in Yuma until relocating to Carson City in 1969. She retired from the State of Nevada, where she worked in the Department of Education. Outgoing and social, Barbara enjoyed a full and active life attending concerts, playing cards, and wine tasting with friends. She fulfilled her travel ambitions by visiting places like China, Ireland, and Greece.

Three sons survive her: Timothy, of Reno; Thomas, of Carson City; and Terence, of Reno. She also has two grandchildren: Lyndsey and Emily Sullivan, currently living in Austin, TX. A celebration of life event will be held at a later date in Carson City.
