March 13, 1939 - October 11, 2013

SueDea Maiden, 74, of Carson City entered into eternal peace on Friday, October 11, 2013, at her home surrounded by those who love her.

SueDea was born on March 13, 1939 in Medford, Oregon to the late Harry and Muriel Pinneo. She was raised in Alturas, California and graduated from Modoc Union High School in 1957. Sue then attended the University of Nevada-Reno where she graduated with a BA is Sociology in 1961. After working for the Sierra Nevada Girl Scout Council she married the late Robert Floyd Maiden in April of 1970 and together they owned Sierra Casino Arabians. They worked besides each other, sharing their love of animals, for more than 20 years raising and showing Arabian horses with their daughter, Muriel. Sue was the epitome of a domestic housewife who worked from sun up to sundown. From baking cookies to building fences for her yard, she was talented and skilled in every way. The outdoors was her sanctuary, and she could often be found feeding and watching the birds and other critters who considered her yard their home.

She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, Bob Maiden in 2009; her only sister, Margaret Ann Condos in 2000. Sue will join Bob at Arlington National Cemetery as her final resting place.

She leaves her legacy of life to be cherished by her loving daughter, Muriel Alyece Troyner of Saint George, Utah. Sue is also survived in death by her two step-sons, Michael Robert and Joseph King Maiden, both of Crockett, Texas.

A celebration of Sue’s life will be held at her private residence on Saturday, October 19th from 3-6 pm. Family and friends are invited to drop by to share laughter, memories, and a cup of coffee.
