BERKELEY, Calif., - Carson City has been named in MailStop's list of 20 most mail-efficient metro areas for April.

MailStop is the nation's leading mail preference service and the top 20 with its MailStop Index.

The Most Mail-Efficient Metro Areas in April: Seattle; Santa Fe, N.M., Boulder, Colo., Austin, Texas, Napa, Calif., Barre, Vt., Olympia, Wash., Key West, Fla., Corvallis, Ore., Edwards, Colo., La Crosse, Wisc., Santa Cruz, Calif., Truckee, Calif., Durango, Colo., Ithaca, N.Y., San Francisco, Bridgeport, Conn., Carson City, Boston, and San Jose, Calif.

"We are pleased to see how this movement is spreading across this nation. "We applaud everyone's efforts, especially those in California and Colorado, who have a strong showing on this month's list."

MailStop Index measures the communities that have opted out of the most unwanted advertising mail per capita. Each U.S. household receives, on average, over 720 pieces of direct mail a year.
