Obituary: Marlene L. Kuhlman

Born April 27, 1936 to Pansy E. Moore and Boyd C. Fagg in Colfax, Washington, Marlene passed away at the age of 76 on Nov. 2, 2012 in Portland, Oregon. Marlene had a long career with the State of Nevada with various agencies, beginning with Governor Paul Laxalt's administration in the late Sixties until her retirement in 2003 from the Nevada Commission on Economic Development, whereupon she moved to Chicago to be with her son, daughter-in-law and newborn granddaughter. In 2010 she relocated once again to be with her family in Portland. While in Portland, Marlene made many friends in her new community and discovered her skills at billiards, golf and bowling while exploring her new state. Marlene was a devoted mother and adoring grandmother. She loved food, travel, sports, politics, her dogs, and the Christmas season, but nothing gave her more happiness than being with her family. She is survived by her son, Travis Tresnit (Julie); and granddaughter, Sadie. A celebration of life gathering was held at Town Center Village in Portland on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012. In lieu of donations, please do something kind for someone.
