Spiritual destiny to be discussed

Western Nevadans are invited to learn how to master spiritual destiny at a worship service in Carson City, at 10 a.m. March 19, Carson City Community Center, Roop and Williams Street.

The free session "Master Your Spiritual Destiny" is sponsored by Eckankar, Religion of the Light and Sound of God.

During this one-hour worship service, a skilled facilitator will give a brief talk, followed by readings, a small-group discussion and a short contemplation.

Christian Women's Club meeting planned

Sierra Nevada Christian Women's Club presents their monthly luncheon will be 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. March 15 at Tamarack Junction banquet area, 13101 S. Virginia St., Reno.

Reservations are due March 11.

Guest Speaker is Cindy Meyer, challenging others to "look up" when life tries to get them down.

Shiela Linn presents "Embrace," an innovative infant warmer that won the Stanford Entrepreneurship Challenge (Featured on ABC's 20/20).

Temple celebrating Purim holiday with mystery

Temple Beth Or will celebrate Purim with a murder mystery dinner, "Perils in Persia" at 6:30 p.m. March 19.

The Capo, "Big Toto" King Ahashuerus, will be in town to celebrate the evening with his eye on finding a new lady. With gangsters, hit men, politicians, a jazz singer, assassins, deceit, and many other interesting guests and more interesting agendas, this is sure to be a memborable event.
