U.S. Forest Service crews will conduct a prescribed burn on around 50 acres of public land east of Rosaschi Ranch near Bridgeport Tuesday through Friday, weather and fuel conditions permitting.
The burn will occur approximately 15 miles northeast of Bridgeport, along the East Walker River. The crews will conduct a burn in the irrigated meadow and adjacent willows along the north side of the river.
Travel on Forest Service Road 028, near the bridge, may be restricted on the morning of Tuesday and Wednesday, to ensure public as well as firefighter safety. Visitors may observe an increase in fire engines.
