Genoa's experiment in supporting itself by means other than taxes continues this weekend with the 90th Candy Dance and Craft Fair. There are still tickets available to the dinner-dance in Genoa Park on Saturday night, and there should be plenty of candy available over the weekend in the Town Hall.
Candy Dance is not the only thing going on this weekend, which also features Markleeville Creek Day, the Peddler's Fair at Antique's Plus, a gardener's tool swap and collection of other things, including Oktoberfest at Heritage Park on Sunday. The weather will be sunny and warm this weekend, with the high climbing into the 90s on Sunday. Today expect a high of 84 with a light breeze in the afternoon.
