Thanks from Korean veterans

EDITOR:

The Korean War Veterans Association, Carson City Chapter No. 305, wishes to thank the many donors who have helped us support the soldiers of the Nevada National Guard 137th MP Co., now deployed to Afghanistan.

Donations of both money and goods have allowed us to ship many needed, but unavailable items to our soldiers stationed so far from home.

Below is a partial list of area donors:

Carson City Holiday Inn Express (Debra); Carson Nugget (Diana); Carson City Merriott Courtyard (Kerri); Carson City Kustom Kreations (Jimmy); Carson City Gold Dust West (Mary Beth); Bob and Kippie Guthries of Carson City; Women's Independent Living Group of Douglas County (Marcie); Good Shepherd Wesleyn Church (Frank); Carson City Lowes (Jay); Topsy Lane Walmart (Angela); Jacks Valley Home Depot (Larry); Marilyn Brown of Dayton; Gardnerville Ace Hardware (Jeff); Harold and Lois Jones of Gardnerville; Eliot Callender of Gardnerville; Irene Vrabel, Reno; Bette Messer of Minden; Pam Hightow of Danville, Calif.; Charlotte Himsl of Sunol, Calif.; Barbara Stamm, Antioch, Calif.; and Elaine Fowler of Antioch, Calif.

All the many donors at our Aug. 7 Rose of Sharon fundraiser at Smith's Stores in Carson City, Dayton and Gardnerville.

We apologize if we missed anyone. Some donors wish to remain anonymous. Thank you, one and all for your generous support of our local National Guard soldiers serving our country.
