Vote for McDermid

I am not sure how many of District 4 voters realize that Nancy McDermid, the commissioner of District 4, is also the representative to the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board. I am a former employee of TRPA, since Nancy's home was on my way home from there, I would hand-carry the agenda and meeting information for preparation for the meeting the following Wednesday. On all occasions the packet was at least two inches thick and on a great many, the packet was three or more. At every meeting Nancy had read through and was totally prepared to participate in very lengthy and often contentious meetings.

Not only fulfilling the required duties of her position as commissioner, Nancy can be seen at various volunteer functions such as raising funds for DAWG, or showing up at 6:30 a.m. to assist with the public vaccination process that not only provided cost free vaccinations, but was a practice exercise in the event of a major catastrophe.

There are numerous other organizations that have benefited from Nancy's deep-rooted involvement in this community.
