Douglas High Class of 1998 graduate and pancake chef extraordinaire Jim Belosic and his daughter Allie will be on The Rachael Ray Show, Channel 8 at 3 p.m. today making Jim's pancakes.

I would like to say that the online town hall for commissioner district 4 on Wednesday night was as successful as the one for commissioner district 2 on Monday, but it wasn't, quite. It was too late and it was glitchy. I just goes to show how much we take for granted the technology we have. We'll see how it goes next week for the school board trustees.

Saturday is the first day of early voting in Nevada. If you haven't registered to vote, yet, you're going to have to sit this one out. According to the Nevada Secretary of State's Office, Douglas has the third highest number of registered voters in the state, behind just Clark and Washoe counties. Douglas also has the largest Republican majority in the state, though certainly not the largest number of Republicans.

Expect to see temperatures climb into the high 70s today, with a light breeze in the afternoon. Looks like more of the same on Friday.
