Lunchtime seminars offered to parents

The Tahoe Youth & Family Services' STEP Together series of free lunchtime seminars to empower parents continues at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1480 Douglas Ave., Gardnerville.

Douglas High School Principal Marty Swisher speaks, noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, on how to help your teen be successful in school. A bag lunch will be provided.

Upcoming seminars:

Nov. 10. How to spot the danger signs with speaker Debbie Posnien, executive director of the Suicide Prevention Network.

Dec. 2. Disciplining with love and logic for the young child with speaker Donna Einspahr, director of Trinity Lutheran Child Care Center.
