Cross Country: Falcons run strong at Lowry, Clovis

Sierra Lutheran High School's Cross Country team ran at the 15th Annual Lowry Invitational on Friday in Winnemucca.

The girls ran the 3.1-mile course in the Junior Varsity Division. Freshman Erin Henry came in third with a time of 22:35. Abby Williams was 11th with a time of 26:08 and Karina Young was 15th with a time of 26.43.

The boys' team ran in the varsity division.

John McRae was seventh at 17:56; Nathan Conover 21st, 18:36; Donovan Harrison 32nd, 19:07; Luke Barulich 36th, 19:08; Anthony Brewer 30th, 19:23; and Jonny Harms 53rd, 20:07.

Two other team members ran in the Clovis Invitational in Fresno, California on Saturday. Junior Becky Grabow was 28th with a time of 20:32 and junior Nathanael Williams was seventh with a time of 16:54.

Both the girls team and the boys team are working hard to prepare for the Regional Meet which will be held in Reno at Rancho San Rafel Park on Oct. 28 beginning at 2:00 p.m.
