Free seminar Saturday for teen drivers

Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Dan Gordon will present a three-hour safe driving classroom seminar for teen drivers 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.

The class will be held at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office in Minden, 1625 Eighth St., Minden.

The class is free, and there are plenty of seats still available, Gordon said. Students need not reside in Douglas County to attend.

Gordon said the seminar is for current teen drivers, not a driving school for pre-licensed teens.

No pre-registration or sign-up is necessary; interested teens can just show up.

Gordon recommended students arrive a few minutes early to accommodate the 9 a.m. starting time.

Refreshments will be served.
