Big Mama's 10th annual Show & Shine Car Show is Saturday

Get a jump start on the car show season with the 10th annual Big Mama's Show & Shine, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, at the Lampe Park Pavilion. The free event is a day of music, crafts, food, friends and beautiful cars. All proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels in Douglas County.

Brand new this year in the invitation for the public to choose their favorite vehicle for the Big Mama's People's Choice Award. Ballots will be passed out 11 a.m. to noon and collected until 1:30 p.m.

Vehicle registrations are accepted at the Douglas County Senior Center through Friday and at Lampe Park from 8- 10 a.m. Saturday. Registration closes at 10 a.m. at the start of the car show.

Lunch for $5 includes a choice of barbecue kielbasa sandwich or hot dog with chips and a drink. Lion's Club members are donating their time to barbecue for the event.

Raffle tickets are on sale at the senior center and sold throughout the day at the Big Mama's Show & Shine.

Join us for an hour or stay the whole day to support of Meals on Wheels in Douglas County and have a great time doing it. Information, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Douglas County Senior Center, 783-6455.
